Set in beautiful Epping Forest with easy access by rail or road, the Big Youth Theatre Festival 2006 is four days of workshops, performances and celebrations!

As well as performances, discussions, workshops, games, cabaret and special events, The Big Youth Theatre Festival 2006 will offer opportunities to work with some of the UK’s foremost and distinct theatre arts practitioners.

Big Youth Theatre Festival 2006

Dear All,

We are delighted to announce that all our youth theatre members aged 14+ are invited to attend the Big Youth Theatre Festival (BYTF) at Gilwell Park, London from 13th to 16th July 2006.

BYTF is a four day event celebrating youth theatre. It will include practical workshops, youth theatre performances, fringe events, cabaret, themed discos and celebrations.
BYTF 2006 will be the thirteenth festival and will have over 800 participants. BYTF provides an opportunity to highlight youth theatre’s effectiveness in enabling young people to have a voice and to push the boundaries of art-form.
BYTF’s principal aim is to be a unique and dynamic expression of theatre-making and a place where we can all dive in and further understand the brilliance of what theatre can offer.

Young people interested in attending must be aged 14+ and able to provide their own tents or arrange to share with others. (We cannot allow girls to share sleeping arrangements with boys!)

Fusion Youth Theatre will also be producing a performance of ‘A Midsummer Nights Dream’ which will be performed in the beautiful amphitheatre at the BYTF 06. All young people will be able to perform in this production in Grimsby and the Skegness Festival even if they cannot attend the Big Youth Theatre Festival.

There are limited places available at the festival so we need to book early to avoid disappointment! Places will be offered on a first come/first served basis.

The cost to attend BTYF 2006 is £85 per person. Please make cheques payable to Fusion Theatre & Arts Productions Ltd. There may be some financial assistance/bursaries available nearer the time as we do not wish to exclude anyone for financial reasons – more information will be available soon.

Please complete the forms attached and return to us before Wednesday 22nd March 2006. Early payment will secure your place at the festival.
