Big Youth Theatre Festival 2007

BYTF 07 Logo.jpg We are now taking bookings for the BYTF 07! Set in the Beautiful Epping Forest just outside of London, the BYTF is four days of workshops, performances and celebrations! As well as performances, discussions, workshops, games and social events, BYTF will offer opportunities to work with some of the UK's foremost and distinct theatre arts practitioners.

BUT this year is the big year - the National Association of Youth Theatres (the company who organise BYTF) are 25 years old, so this festival will be extra special - and this means we only have a limited number of places available, less than last year.
This means places will be allocated on a first com-first served basis (with preference to those young people who attend FYT on a regular basis).

BYTF is for young people aged 14+.

BYTF is a strictly alcohol and illegal drug free event.

When is it?
12. 00pm on Thursday 12 July 2007 to 2.00pm on Sunday 15 July 2007.
We will be leaving Grimsby approx 7am on the Thursday and returning approx 6pm on the Sunday.
What do I eat?
You can self- cater or there will be catering facilities on- site, providing vegetarian and non- vegetarian food. However NAYT has no control over the price or quality of food provided by the on- site caterers.
Where is it?
Gilwell Park is approximately 2 miles from Chingford on the outskirts of London, Gilwell Park is the national headquarters of the Scout Association.
Where do I sleep?
In your own tents! We advise as many people to share tents as possible, so please make arrangements with friends NOW!
We have a strict policy that no one under the age of 18 is allowed to share sleeping arrangements with a member of the opposite sex.

How much does it cost? Camping in own tents (Thu - Sun)
£90 per person. This includes all activities and travel. Participants will need to bring their own camping food or money for the on-site facilities. The full fee of £90 must be paid by Wednesday 30th May 2007 (please notify us of any problems with this arrangement.)
There are limited spaces available and in order to secure your place, you can pay a non-refundable deposit of £20 straight away, (the remaining £70 to be paid before the deadline.)

There are some FREE places available to those in need of financial assistance, if so, please state this on the booking form. We do encourage those applying for a free place to offer a more affordable donation to the trip, but this is not compulsory.

Participants will be sent detailed schedules, menus, workshops and festival information nearer the time
