Emma Nicholson - Company Director/Puppeteer
Emma trained with the London School of Puppetry, she is a performer, workshop leader and director who works across the country on a variety of projects.
For 7 years Emma has lead several local youth theatres including The Caxton Youth Theatre which have won many awards under her direction, the Illuminate Youth Theatre in Gainsborough and now runs her own group Fusion Youth Theatre where she trains local young people in a range of art forms.
She is a qualified Arts Award Advisor and also a representative for the Yorkshire region of the English National Youth Arts Network.
Emmas projects with FYT include The Wakefield Mysteries which won various trophies at the Skegness Youth Drama Festival in 2005, A Midsummer Nights Dream, Macbeth, The Gingerbread Heart and Medea. She delivers s summer theatre school every year and also organises for the group to travel to the Big Youth Theatre Festival in London every July.

The Drama Consultancy in North East Lincolnshire primary schools was a major step for her in 2005. working alongside Natasha Holmes from Tell Tale Hearts, Emma is a consultant for nominated primary teachers, she provides training, mentoring and support for the teachers to develop their own creative project with the children.
As a performer, Emma has worked and devised with Tell Tale Hearts on their research and development of A Story for All Seasons, a highly successful production in 2005/6. She creates solo work in puppetry and has toured her work to the Bath Puppetry Festival, Bournmouth University, London's Foundling Museum, The Buxton Puppet Festival and North Yorkshire.

Emma also delivers many workshops in drama, mask, puppetry and other theatre related topics! She has delivered puppetry workshops for the Arts Development Unit in North East Lincolnshire, for the Lincoln Book Festival and also for the Big Youth Theatre Festival in London. Clee Cluster and North Lincolnshire Arts Development regularly book her for drama and theatre workshops.

She has organised several large events across the region including the Fishermens Memorial Ceremony in Grimsby in 2005, The North East Lincolnshire Arts Forum Festival in 2006 and The Buzz - Youth Arts Festival in Scunthorpe, 2007, for which she is also delivering a number of theatre projects.
