Fusion Theatre & Arts Productions Ltd was established in November 2004, the company is based in North East Lincolnshire and was founded by 2 of the areas local artists, Emma Nicholson and Scott Middleton. Emma and Scott had both been working professionally and voluntarily in the region for several years and the company has given them the chance to develop their skills and contribute further to the arts scene in North East Lincolnshire.
Fusion is a company committed to exploring & combining a range of different art forms. Fusion aims to offer professional work for artists & companies as well as providing high quality arts opportunities and experiences for young people & the community.
he Fishermen's Memorial Ceremony was Fusions first official event - company directors, Emma and Scott, organised this very special occasion and worked with the Caxton Youth Theatre to devise a short piece of drama for the ceremony. Thousands of people gathered around St James Square in Grimsby to watch the unveiling of the long awaited statue which commemorates the Fishermen who lost their lives at sea, a very proud day for our local heritage! Fusion has since continued its work with the Caxton Youth Theatre, producing more highly acclaimed productions with the talented group, as well as delivering drama workshops for local schools and other organisations such as The Ropewalk in Barton and Immingham Young Voices. The company also works alongside the councils Arts Development Unit and the Music and Performing Arts Service. Fusion is proud to be associated with Natasha Holmes and her company, Tell Tale Hearts, who has given much needed guidance in the early stages of the company.
